What better way to get to know the area than on foot? Hiking through Mecklenburg's "Little Switzerland", you will discover 1000-year-old oaks, encountering myths and stories on a journey through the lives of these natural monuments. As a guest at Burg Schlitz, you will experience the perhaps foremost classicistic castle complex in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. At Schloss Basedow, you will be welcomed by Countess Anette von Hahn, who assists you in your exploration of the manor estate and the landscaped park. Your accommodation at Gut Gremmelin is encircled by 7½ acres of parkland together with bathing lake. Guided hikes take you into the surrounding countryside for 2 to 3 hours a day.

In the literature museum in Stavenhagen you hear the words of author Fritz Reuter. En route to castles entwined with roses, you pass through picturesque avenues and experience cultural highlights, culinary delights and impressive architecture. The court seat of Schwerin welcomes you with its castle, one of the most important buildings of historicism in Europe. In Mecklenburg's "Little Switzerland", you explore Marihn castle and its garden. The next stop is Schloss Ludwigslust, one of the greatest and best preserved complexes of baroque buildings in north Germany. In the nature conservation area Lewitz, the lord of the manor welcomes us to the Friedrichsmoor hunting lodge. On the grounds of the Redefin stud farm we can admire the freestyle activities of noble horses and gather to enjoy a delicious al fresco picnic in the park. In the evening our ears are treated to the sweet music of the NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Actor Armin Mueller-Stahl treats us to a recitation in the indoor riding school. Schloss Frauenmark pampers us with wonderful hospitality and culinary delights.
